Waxing services are completed with green wax containing azulen, which is excellent for even the most sensitive skin. It is recognized with anti-bacterial and soothing properties. Please allow the hair to be at least 1/4 inch in length prior treatment.
Note: Waxing is not recommended for the following conditions: Accutane or Retin-A users, Sunburns or recent laser procedures.
Please follow these guidelines to minimize irritation and possible break outs before, during and after waxing.
- People with skin diseases around pubic area, pregnant or menstruating women should not be waxing.
- Avoid sun exposure and/or indoor tanning within 2 days of waxing and please wear sunscreen; recently waxed areas are prone to hyper-pigmentation (permanent darkening of the skin) if exposed to the sun.
- Avoid heavy exercise for at least 24 hours after waxing.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools and other heat related treatments for at least 48 hours.
- Do not use exfoliating products (AHAs, scrubs, etc) and loofah for at least 24 hours after waxing as they might further irritate your skin.
- Avoid wearing tight clothing over waxed areas immediately after waxing. Tight clothing may result in irritation and ingrown hairs.
- Regular exfoliation may be helpful to remove dead skin so your hair can get out above the surface of the pores and not become ingrown. Please do so after 1-2 days of waxing.
Routine waxing helps the skin get accustomed to the procedure and may minimize irritation.
